Wynwood (Miami)

(1-800-Lucky)

Wynwood (Miami)

Overview:

Wynwood is an artistic enclave that has emerged to the forefront of all things street art, cutting edge design, and exceptional cuisine. Having been a neglected warehouse district situated north of the downtown core, artists eventually moved in and breathed new life to the area. Eventually, this breath of fresh air transformed into a full-blown artistic hurricane, where the once-neglected spaces are now some of the city’s premier galleries, shops, restaurants, and bars. The Wynwood Walls, an urban concrete park at the core of the neighborhood is where some of the best street art is displayed prominently for all to witness. Just down the street and around the corner is home to Miami’s very first food hall, 1-800 Lucky. This Asian-inspired food hall and outdoor patio showcase seven different eateries that range from dumplings to Vietnamese sandwiches & sushi to ramen. Now even though most come for the interesting street art and exquisite food, Wynwood is not to be missed when the sun goes down. If you’re in the mood for a tame and relaxed evening, Astra, an Aegean-inspired rooftop is a romantic setting with breathtaking views of the Miami skyline. Yet if you seek a lively atmosphere, head no further than Dirty Rabbit. This Latin nightclub is eccentric in its design with rabbit motifs throughout & wild in its music and energetic ambiance.
